Ballachulish Glen
Description
A Scottish slow air, strathspey and reel set from the Forth Bridges Dance Band. The slow air is Ballachuilish Glen, the strathspey is Miss Stewart of Grandtully's Strathspey and the reel is The Drummer. For those in the know, none of the images features Ballachuilish Glen but they are all from the Scottish highlands. The fiddlers are Martin Duncan and Laura Stirrat who wrote and plays the Ballachuilish Glen harmony. Ballachulish is a former slate quarrying village near the northern end of Glen Coe and was previously famous for the Ballachulish Ferry which saved motorists the long drive round Loch Leven on a single track road.
