Bannockburn700th- Quest For Bannockburn- 2014
Description
My humble thanks to BBC Scotland for allowing me to share their much appreciated production, Another noble attempt from the A Team of Scottish Archaeologists to finally solve the Enigma that is the Battle of Bannockburn June 23 /24 1314. The enactments presented here are first class,/ the commitment shown by all is again highly commendable but… when you continually stick to the same two areas to search in you will continually come up short. As local Bannockburn citizen @2001 perseus has pointed out all those object recovered on the Carse could easily have been washed down from further up the burn. I feel sorry for both Tony Pollard and Neil Oliver for unquestionably they are both dedicated to solving this once and for all. I hope they take a leaf from the Robert The Bruce Legend and try again as clearly they must rethink their whole game plan. As anyone who has been following the comments by @2001 perseus will have noted his thesis is the only logical avenue left.
With the greatest respect to both men Neil Oliver and Tony Pollard its time to break free from the confines of this square box you been restricted to and be bold aye maverick and concentrate on those areas you have not deemed appropriate to search. There is still all to play for it’s not over yet ‘Nobody finds what we don’t find’ all the best for the future Tony Pollard and Neil Oliver.
