Billy Connolly wraps up as he takes a stroll in London with cheery daughter Scarlett, 27.

The Big Yin, who is battling Parkinson’s disease, took time out ahead of four extra dates added to his London High Horse tour and our exclusive Sunday People pictures show the star in great spirits.

Billy, 73, is in demand again and was this month awarded a special recognition accolade at the National TV awards.

The Scot, who beat prostate cancer diagnosed on the same day that he found he’d got Parkinson’s, has retained his raucous sense of humour and even makes light of his own situation.The star, wed to former TV comic Pamela Stephenson, 66, said: “My mind works at a different speed and I find that interesting.”

Billy who once worked on Clydeside’s ship yards, has also maintained his down-to-earth nature.After receiving his British TV recognition award from Hollywood legend Dustin Hoffman, he said: “When I see all these other stars parading up I don’t feel like them... I feel like a welder.”

He might still feel like an imposter... but to his fans he’ll always simply be the Big Yin.
