The Black Watch, The Royal Regiment of Scotland on it return from Iraq and Afghanistan marched through Aberfeldy where it was founded in 1725, to counter the threat of the Highland Clans at that time. This parade took place on the 10th December 2009, from Dewars World of Whisky to the Black Watch Memorial on the banks of the River Tay.
