Skaw, Unst, Shetlands. August 2003. Trip From Yell To Skaw Via Ferry And Drive To End Of Britain

A lovely ferry trip across the water from Yell to Unst. A nice drive up the East side of the island up to Britains most Northerly point ending at Skaw. Skaw is three buildings/farms with a couple of sheds which are upside down boats. The road ends there!

The National Wallace Monument

There is a steep walk to the monument but a mini bus is there for those who want it. The climb to the top of the monument is by a winding stone staircase of 246 steps. Thankfully there are three floors to visit on the way up which helps to get ones energy
