What I can do is give you a couple of links to my family history.
I can trace my ancestry back to Clan MacDonald (although before the 1600s or 1700s, my family isn't certain where we came from), the half-Scandinavian half-Scottish coastal pirates on the west coast of Scotland!

While I don't believe in taking pride in one's ancestry, I do believe that learning about one's family...and enjoying both the learning and the fact that you can trace your lineage back to whenever...can be quite fun!

Also, the "county" I should have been highlighting was "The Isles," which is juuuuuust west of Argyle (e.g. Islay/Jura is part of "the Isles," Argyll is close to that.).
