This video is to pleat and wrap a 5 yard kilt. The material is 60" wide. I will show you how to pleat to the stripe and pleat to the column. There is no evidence of the belted plaid exisiting before the late 16th Century. Do wear under-dungers with your kilt, especially if it is wool, otherwise you will itch.
