Loch Katrine SS Sir Walter Scott

Description
This was a very scenic Sunday sail along Loch Katrine in autumn this year.
Steamship Sir Walter Scott sails on Loch Katrine, with a ferry service 8 miles west along the loch from Trossachs Pier to Stronachlachar Pier. It was built and launched in 1899/1990 by William Denny and Brothers, and is named after the writer Walter Scott.
The SS Sir Walter Scott previously changed from coal to coke to reduce air pollution, however in 2007 in a refit the boilers were altered to run on biofuel. The superstructure was also rebuilt and a forward deck cabin was added.
If you have been, give it a visit. You can also walk or cycle all the way along the side of the loch.
Thanks for watching.
