Passports please! With the Scottish independence referendum looming, a group of pranksters hit on the novel idea of constructing a 'Scottish Border Agency' passport control centre at Carter Bar on the Scottish border near Jedburgh. As the referendum race enters the home straight, motorists were stunned to see the mock border control point spring up overnight. Alan Smith, a piper from Hawick was the first man to pass the barrier ahead of the vote on September 18, 2014.
