The Great Kilt
Featured video
Description
The Rev. Ken Horne demonstrates the making of the Great Kilt from "the whole nine yards" of tartan material. The garment is fashioned without altering the original piece of cloth simply by folding, wrapping and pinning. Scottish toga, anyone?
Ken, retired head of The Society of St. Andrew hunger ministries, is known far and wide for his renditions of folk material, particularly celtic, reenacting frontier-era life and dress, and many years of dedication to feeding the hungry. A video of his retirement as a minister in the Virginia United Methodist Conference, with song, can be found at glowingtortoise.com
