There is a steep walk to the monument but a mini bus is there for those who want it. The climb to the top of the monument is by a winding stone staircase of 246 steps. Thankfully there are three floors to visit on the way up which helps to get ones energy back! There was a heat haze that day but the view at the top was still worth the climb.
